Tupwood Scrubs (6″) and Upwood Ho are Upwode 1332 SR (p), Upewode 1423 IpmR, Tupwod lane , Tupwodehethe 1539Ct , Tuppwood al. Uppwood 1719Recov . 'High wood.' It is in the high south-east corner of the parish. The form Tup - is due to the influence of the preposition at , v. æt .
