Causeyware is Caseware 1710 S, Cazaware 1724 Moll and is perhaps identical with Chawsea 1636DuLa . It looks as if the first element here was the ME cauce , c (h )ausee , 'causeway' with reference to the Old North Road. The second element is uncertain.
