Tagmore Green (6″) is Taggelemere t. Ed 1Stowe , Takelmere 1296SR , Taggelmere 1314 ib., Taglemere t. Ed 3Stowe (all p), Tagelmers t. Hy 4 ib. No certainty can be reached with regard to this name. Possibly it is related to the names discussed in Studies 73 ff, containing a lost OE tæcce , tæcge , 'sheep.'
