Mulberry Green is Mudborow , Mudbrowne Grene t. ElizLP , Mulberry Green 1777 C. This name perhaps shows the same development from mot to mod as Modbury (PN D 279), with later mud -forms. If so, it may go back to OE  (ge )mot beorh (cf. BCS 392) and mark the mot or meeting-place of the hundred.For the u -forms cf. Mutlow infra 543 and Mustowe under Crouch Fair Green infra 439.
