Etymology
Yeadon Farm (6″) is montis Adun (e ), Adun (e )12th, 13th, 1293Warter .'Hill with a stream,' v. a , dun . Nunburnholme Beck rises in a spring and pool at the foot of the hill; it was probably the main water supply of Warter Priory. For Yea - cf. Introd. xxviii.
