Poppleton (lost), Popleton (e )1086 DB, 1540 Fount, Popeltune , Popelton 1175 Font, c. 1190 Fount, Poppleton 1312Vyner . 'Spring farmstead', cf. Poppleton iv, 231supra . Its exact location is not known but in 1540 it is included in the lands of Covell Houses (Fount i, 341).
