Blossomfield is Blossom feildes ford t. Ed 6Rental , Blossomefyld 1580Add , taking its name from the family of Blosmeville which appears in connection with the parish in 1304 (AD vi) and in the Subsidy Rolls of 1327 and 1332. Cf. Newton Blossomville (PN Bk 11).
