Redlands Fm

Early-attested site in the Parish of Lodsworth

Etymology

Redlands Fm (6″) perhaps belonged to John de Roddelond assessed in Selham in 1327 (SR). The first element is ME  ridde, OE  geryd and the whole name means 'cleared land.' The o is probably an error for e , the common Sussex form of OE y .
