Fitzlea Fm

Early-attested site in the Parish of Lodsworth

Etymology

Fitzlea Fm is on the Tillington border of the parish, separated by the narrow detached portion of Burton. It was possibly to this place that the John de Fiscle or John Fysely of Tillington, in the Subsidy Rolls for 1327 and 1332, belonged. This may contain the same pers. name found in Fitzhall supra 22.
