Etymology
Breach Wood (6″). A family surnamed de la Brech (e ), ate Brech , atte Breche appears c. 1260 Goret freq to 1330 (c. 1444) BC, and almost certainly takes name from this place. ME breche, 'newly cultivated land.' Presumably the wood grew again later.
