Etymology

Twembroke (lost), Twembroke 1504 Plea, Twenebroke (s )John Orm2, 1310 Plea (p), Thenebroc 1260 Orm2, Twen (e )brok ', Twenebrokisheth 1288 Court, Twunbrokes 1308 Orm2 (p), Twenbrokes 1403 ChRR, Tuwanbrokes 1328LRO Dx(p), 'between the brooks', from betwēonan , brōc , with hǣð . This is liable to confusion with Twambrook 195infra , but the separate identity is proved by Court 121, §54, Orm2 iii 894 (addendum to p. 629).
