Etymology
The form in the charter-bounds probably represents a late weak gen. pl., 'road of (i.e. to) Linacres,' i.e. 'flax-fields,' v. lin , æcer . Cf. Linacre (K, La) and Linacre in Halesowen (LyttCh).
