Whistley Fm is Wyslegh , Whisle , Wyschele 1289Ass , Whischele , Whistele 1341Cor , Whystley 1547 £/?, Whysheley 1579Recov .A compound of OE  wisce, 'damp meadow,' and leah. Cf. Wisley (PN Sr 155).
