Bupton is Bubbeton 1283, 1529FF , 1332SR (p), Bobeton 1319, 1336, Bobbeton 1336, 1386, 1387, Bubeton 1532 WM xxxv, Bubton 1535 VE. This is a late tun-formation. William Bubbe owed service in Clyve in 1255 (RH). See Addenda supra xl.
