Roman Camp (site), formerly called Long brough 1684, 1764Glebe , Longboro '1848TA , v. lang , burh 'fortification'; the site, where coins, etc. have been found, is close to the Roman road Rudgate where it crosses the R. Wharfe; the TA map gives the location (1″ O.S. 97–454454).
