Etymology

Finwood is Inwode 1252ReadingB , 1297Deed , 1327 SR, Inw (o )od end (e )1548Rental , 1706 RowRec, Finwood c. 1800 ib. Inwood , or 'home' wood, as opposed to Outwood (cf. PN Sr 286). The modern form may be due to mistaken division of the name 'Of Inwood.'
