Etymology

There is an early ME  pers. name Ucca found in LVD (12th cent.). This, as suggested by Dr Schram, is probably identical with the Ucca found in the Kentish pers. name 'Wulfstan cognomine Ucca ' (BCS 1133), 'Wulfstan Ucca ' (ib. 1132). Cf. also Uckham infra 499 and Uckington (Sa), DBUchintune , and ucking echer (BCS 300, late copy). There is an OGer  Ucco , v. Förstemann PN 1472.
