Camic Pond

Early-attested site in the Parish of North Mundham

Camic Pond (6″), cf. le Cammok 1467, 1483, 1485Ct . The only suggestion that can be made with reference to this name is that it is a place where cammock (OE  cammoc ) or restharrow grows.Cf. the field-name le Cammek in Caldecott (W) 1341 AD vi and Camic field in Rudgwick (TA ).
