Etymology

Heberden (lost) is Hibirden in 1412 (FA), Heberden in 1795 (GY) and was the home of Ralph de Iburgedenn in 1279 (Ass ), Wm de Hyburdenn and Robert de Hyburgdenn in 1296 (SR) or Hybourghedene (1327 SR). It is called ten ' de Hyburden in 1332 (SR). 'denn of a woman named Hygeburh .'
