Etymology
Bradford's Bridge (6″), cf. Bradford brook 1579DuLa . By here lived Emma de Bretford (1327 SR) and Thomas de Bretford (1340 NI). Possibly this has the same origin as Brightford supra 192. The modern form has been assimilated to a more usual type.
