Mispies (not on map) is Morespych (e ) in 1296 and 1332 SR (p), Morespiche Wall in 1402 (SAC 53), Morysspychesewall in 1456AsM , Morespichys in 1490 (ib.), and Mispies in 1840 (TA ). For the second element, v. Poles Pitch supra 190. The first is clearly mor , 'marsh.'
