Etymology

Solom's Court and Wood (6″) is Sollond 1325, Solelond 1363, 1368, Solland Grove 1598, Sollonds Grove 1680 LBa. The first element is the OE  sol noted under Sole Fm infra 101. Hence 'land by the muddy pool.'
