Rennesley Wood (6″) is Rennesle (gh )1248Ass , 1345Ct , Reneslegh 1283–9 BM, Renesley 1318FF , 1321Deeds Enrolled , 1345Ct , Reneslee 1417 BM, Raunesleye 1315 Works, Rynnesley 1685FF , Rangeley c. 1840TA . Probably 'Hræfn 's leah' or 'raven's leah,' but the forms are too late for certainty. The 1315 spelling is probably a transcription error for Rannes -.
