Coursers Fm olim Blakehide is Blakenhide 1290–1301 Gesta, le Blakehyde 1429WAM , Blakehide al. Corsers 1542 LP.Originally 'black hid,' later replaced by a manorial name from the family of William le Corser (1332Add ). Black in distinction from a lost le Whytehyde mentioned in 1429 (WAM ).
