Norringtonend Fm is Northington lond 1518, Northingtons 1527, Norington al. Northampton End 1609 Verulam and was the home of Alice de Northington (1296SR ). The place is at the extreme north end of the parish, so the meaning is probably 'farm to the north,' with connective ing . Cf.
