Cheshunt Street is Ches (t )huntstrete 1408 Mayo, 1423FF , with reference to the hamlet which grew up along the main Cambridge road. In 1287 (Ass ) the road at this point is called Eldestrete , i.e. 'old street,' v. Ermine Street supra 6.
