Etymology

Lawn Fm, named from Corse Lawn (Wo 197), Crosselaund 1478 Pat, Chaces de Corselaunde 1492MinAcct , Croslaunde chace 1495 Pat, Cors (e )laund (e )1556, 1592FF , Cors (e ) Lawne 1598 ib, the Lawn 1779 Rudder. v. Corse (supra ) and OFr  launde 'forest glade'. Corse Lawn is a common now partly in Chaceley (ii, 57supra ) and in Eldersfield (Wo 197).
