Ironbridge Fm is Ewen (e )breg (g )e t. Ed 3Rental , 1368, 1496Ct (p), Ewen Bridge 1561Rental , Ewen Bridge or Iron Bridge 1777 C. OE  ēowena -brycg , 'ewes' bridge,' from OE  ēowu , 'ewe.' Cf. Ewenedowne in Uffington (Berks) 1569 AD vi and Yorney Wood infra .
