Yorney Wood (6″) is Ewenhey t. Ed 3, Ewney 1492Rental , Yawney c. 1840 TA. OE  ēowena -(ge )hæg , 'ewes' enclosure,' v. (ge)hæg and cf. Ironbridge supra .
