Etymology

Delvyn's Fm is Deluene 1385StJohn , Delwyn t. ElizRental , Delvyn c. 1840 TA, probably from a lost OE  dylfen , cf. delfin (EDD) 'broad, deep trench or ditch,' a derivative of delfan , 'to dig,' denoting something hollowed out. There is what seems to be a natural hollow depression by the side of the road at Delvyn's Fm. Delvin End infra 443 is in a hollow.
