The place is no doubt to be associated with William Strondman (for Stroudman ) 1332 SR (taxed in Okeford F., 'man who lived at the strōd', v. Fransson 207), and possibly with John (de ) Stro (u )de 1327SR , 1332 SR (taxed in Manston).
