Wolfridge Fm (ST 834277), Wolfridge 1811 OS, probably to be identified with Welrigge 1292, Welrygge 1295GillCt , Wilrygge 1327SR (p), Wolrig '1411GillCt , v. well(a), will(a), wyll(a) 'spring, stream', hrycg 'ridge'; the farm is beside a stream, though the maps show no ridge-like feature here; it is possible, however, that the farm takes its name from the higher ground ½ mile E near North End infra , which lies between Cowridge and Coppleridge both supra .
