The Chantry is Batemannes Chaunterie 1445 Pat, the chantry of Batemans in Borough 1553 ib., the Chantree Pinne 1615 Borough. In 1445 John Bateman , parson of Burgh, had licence to found a chantry in the chapel of the Conception of Burgh (Pat).
