Etymology

Langdon Hill, (andlang ) langan dune 964 (c. 1240) BCS 1143, 'long hill', v. lang , dūn . The road which follows the boundary between the two Astons climbs up this slope to Lowbury Hill, the highest point in the neighbourhood.
