Handley par . infra ) and on the highest part of Oakley Down ; the references to a place callyd Werebarewe , watch and ward duty at Warbarrow 1546Surv ( SC 12 / 7.11 p. 17 ) possibly belong here , and the name is probably analogous with Worbarrow 1103 , v. weard ' watch ' , beorg ' barrow ' , cf. the lost f.n. la Weyte infra , and cf. Wyreberge in Canford M . par . supra .
