Kings Barrow Grd 1843TA , ' the king'sbarrow ' , v. cyning , beorg , due to its associations , legendary or otherwise , cf. the account of its excavation in 1767 in Hutch 3 1 100 where the opinion is cited that ' it is highly probable that it belonged to some petty prince or chieftain of the Saxons or Danes ' .
