, Mere Hall 1831 Bry , cf. perhaps Meyrhowse 1519 Orm2 iii374 . There is a pool here , but the place is on the county boundary with Sa , and the name is probably from (ge)mǣre ' a boundary ' rather than mere 1 ' a pool ' , v. hūs .
