Harebeating
Early-attested site in the Parish of Hailsham
Etymology
Harebeating is the half hide of Herbertinges (v. Harpingden supra 325) which was in the rape of the Count of Mortain. Cf. Herbetyng Lane in Waldron (1477Ct ).
