Etymology

'Falda's farm' v. ingtun . The OE  pers. name Falda is not adduced independently, but it is the base of Faldingworth (L), Faldingeuurde 1086 DB, and a cognate form enters into OSwed  Faldunge from an earlier *Faldungar (Hellquist, ON Inge 25–6).
