Etymology

'Catta's or Kati's farm' v. tun . The first element is from ON  Káti or OE  Catta , not found in independent use in OE, but v. MLR xiv. 237. Cf. Caton (PN La 177) and Catton (Nf), Catetuna , Cat (t )una 1086 DB.
