Etymology
Wildeker , Wyldeker etc. is apparently a manorial affix deriving from the surname of a family of local landowners. An inspeximus of 1292 (RA ii, 249–50) deals with tithes issuing from the manor and lands of the late Walter de Wildeker in (North) Carlton.
