Etymology

'Hill called after Bēage or Bǣga', from hyll with an OE  -ing - suffix formation upon the OE  fem. pers.n. Bēage , or the OE  masc. pers.n. Bǣga (Baegia BCS 139, cf. Baywell Wo 121, Bayworth Brk DEPN). The -ing formation may be -ing-, but the assibilation indicates -ing 2 .
