Lower Barrowdish & Over Barrowdish 1839TA 115 in Church Lawton (Barwedes , Barwedys , Barwedis , Barwehedys 1265– 91 Chest). The basis of these names is bearu 'a wood, a grove', with wudu 'a wood' and edisc 'a park, an intake', giving Barud (e ) and Barwedis respectively. Cf. le Barude 325infra .
