is so named in 1768 (M) . According to Wright ( ii , 701 – 2 ) , Robert de Totham ( t. Hy 2 ) was also called de Topham , a name , he suggests , “ properly applicable to the high grounds near the beacon , which was taken away a few years before ” ( 1836 ) .
