Etymology

'Blæcca 's farm,' v. ham . The last reference to the place is in Johnson's Hist. of Great Totham , 56 (1831). On the site v. further EAS xvii, 44, 121. Hedyches from the family of John ate Hedyche (1296Ct ). This may survive in Great Blatches and Little Blatches (field).
