Little Coll Wd in Spettisbury par . infra , Cole Wd in Wool 1191 . However the first el . may be coll ' hill ' with reference to the hill spur here . The wood is on the par . bdy , and is that referred to in the OE  bounds ofthe adjacent par. of Winterborne T. in the forms to widesgete ' to the gate of the wood ' and anlang wides ' along the wood ' , v. infra .
