Etymology

There were probably two forms of this name, Tīdbeorht -tūn , 'Tidberht-farm,' and, with connecting ing, Tīdberhting -tūn , cf. Wolverton (PN Bk 27). The same name is found in Tibberton (Gl) and Tyberton (He).
