Etymology

Kettle Lane Cottages (6″). The lane is Kytelleslane 1526Ct , Kittles Lane 1830 Hoare and the first element probably goes back to the first element in Kydewelgarston (15th WM xxxvi), i.e. 'kid-spring or stream.' There is still a field close by called Kittles (c. 1840TA ).
