Amouracre (6″) is Ammer acre c. 1625 WM xxiii, Amour Acre Farm 1841Devizes , ammer is probably from OE  amore , the name of a bird, cognate with Ger  ammer and identical with the element hammer found in yellow-hammer . Cf. ammer (NED).
