Etymology
Inmarsh is Hennemershe 1225Edington , 1341Cor , 1345Ass , Henmersshe 1432–43 ECP, Henmarsh (e )1553, 1659FF , In Marsh 1654Sadler . Originally 'hen marsh' with reference probably to some kind of waterfowl. The later corruption is identical with that found in Moreton in the Marsh (Gl), cf. PN Wa 299–300.
